Story Telling Competition

South Australia History Festival May 2023

– Theme ‘WONDER”

Primary and Senior School Students and Adults are invited to write a story based on something inspired by the WONDERS to be found at the National Trust Museum in the old Police Station and Court House, Clare.

As an alternative to the written word, you might like to produce a short video or a recording that could be used as a Podcast.

It could be a factual or fictional story about an early Clare immigrant, an object in the Museum, anything that makes you WONDER about the past, how

people lived, facilities and tools we take for granted today.

Entry to the competition is free of charge and entrants must be willing for the Museum to utilise the story as appropriate.

Entries close 5pm Friday 17th May with presentation of prizes Sunday 4th June.

This competition is being organised by the Clare Branch of the National Trust of South Australia with the support of the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council.

Call 0400 010 879 or email preid050@gmail.com to obtain an information pack outlining rules, timelines and prizes
